Newburyport Five Cents Savings Bank will open a new branch in Exeter in early spring 2019. The bank currently has New Hampshire branches in Dover and Portsmouth. The new branch will be full-service, available for retail, residential, commercial and government banking and treasury services.  

“First and foremost, adding a new banking office in Exeter will make banking with us more convenient for our present customers,” bank president and CEO Lloyd L. Hamm Jr. said in a statement. “But we also firmly believe we have much to offer those who have never banked with us. And as we do with every new branch location, we will become intimately involved in the needs of Exeter and the surrounding communities. Since 1854, we’ve been champions of our communities, and we intend to be the same for Exeter.”
