Brochu Honored by NH Realtors

Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Verani Realty agent Lisa Brochu was recently honored with the New Hampshire Association of Realtors’ Good Neighbor Award for her volunteer work with the Deerfield Food Pantry.

Brochu is an active volunteer in many local organizations and serves as an ambassador for the company’s charity initiative VeraniCARES, Verani said in a statement. Brochu is based in its Londonderry office. The pantry will receive a check for $2,000 in her honor.

“A food pantry distribution is the culmination of hundreds of moving parts and many human interactions. Fortunately, our food pantry has Lisa who, for over 10 years, has organized many of those moving parts and excelled at her relationships with others. With a reassuring smile, she welcomes and guides our vulnerable residents.” Deerfield Food Pantry Co-Coordinator Denise Greig said in a statement.

The Good Neighbor Award recognizes Realtors “who make extraordinary contributions and commitments to improving the quality of life in their communities.” Nominees are considered based on their personal impact in their community through volunteer work.

Brochu and other award recipients from Realtor associations across the nation will be considered later this fall for a $10,000 donation from the National Association of Realtors to a charity of their choice. The five selected for this honor will be announced at NAR’s annual conference.

Through VeraniCARES I am able to fulfill my desire to help people no matter the need,” Brochu said in a statement. “I am honored to be an ambassador and I am constantly looking for ways for us to make a difference in people’s lives. Sometimes it is just a small check to a family who lost their home in a fire, and sometimes it is on a larger scale like the NH Food Bank. No matter the size, I am proud to be part of such a fantastic organization.”
