Bank of New Hampshire has promoted Lisa Byars to vice president and human resources officer. 

Byars joined Bank of New Hampshire in February 2014 and has made major improvements in the human resources department, according to a statement from the bank, streamlining the recruiting and onboarding processes, taking on responsibility for safety and workers compensation, employee relations and running the daily operations of the department.  

Byars has 25 years of experience in human resources in the manufacturing and banking sectors.  

Byars is a graduate of the Northern New England School of Banking and the UNH Next Level Leadership Consortium. She also received certificates from the UNH Peter T. Paul College of Business & Economics for completing the Executive Development Program on Coaching & Development and from the New Hampshire Bankers Association for completing the Emerging Leaders in Banking Program. She is currently enrolled at Granite State College to complete her Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Resource Administration. Byars is an active volunteer within the Gilford school system and youth sports programs.
