Recreational Marijuana on Hold

Residential landlords will face a thicket of new issues through which they’ll have to find a path, from tenants who want to smoke marijuana in their units through ones who want to grow it.

The state Senate’s Judiciary Committee has decided to put a bill on hold that would legalize recreational marijuana in the state.

New Hampshire Public Radio reports that the move means legalization will likely not happen this year.

Senators hope to rework the bill.

If legalized, recreational marijuana could present substantial opportunities and challenges for commercial and residential landlords.
