With New Hampshire returning to normal, Dover officials plan to resume reviews of a major mixed-use project proposed for the city’s waterfront.

Boston-based developer Cathartes has proposed a 500,000-square-foot, 475-unit residential-retail project on 23 acres next to downtown that once housed the city’s wastewater treatment plant. The site was a bustling port area in the 1800s.

Thanks to the coronavirus pandemic, Dover officials and the developer were unable to conclude negotiations over concept plans for the project’s second phase, Foster’s Daily Democrat reportsso they have agreed to extend the deadline for such a plan until March 31, 2021.
