Two grocery stores have been proposed for adjoining parcels on Daniel Webster Highway in Nashua.
According to the New Hampshire Union Leader, an Indian grocery store called Patel Brothers is planned for 292 Daniel Webster Highway and an Amazon Fresh store is planned for 272 Daniel Webster Highway.
The two parcels are former locations of national big-box retail chains. Patel Brothers is planned for a 72,400-square-foot former JCPenny Home Store location. Amazon Fresh is planned for a 44,600-square-foot former Toys ‘R’ Us building.
The Amazon Fresh project is being managed by engineering firm TFMoran.
The area is already home to several grocery stores – Market Basket, Shaw’s and Whole Foods – prompting some concerns from city Planning Board matters.
Both projects have been continued until the board’s Feb. 4 meeting.
