177-Unit Nashua Development OK’d

A plan to redevelop a pair of downtown Nashua properties into a large multifamily project has been approved by city officials.

Long Island-based developer Renaissance Downtowns had sought approval to convert a pair of parcels at 40 Bridge St. and 10 Sanders St. into the latest phase of the company’s revitalization efforts taking place just east of downtown Nashua. The Residences at Riverfront Landing built 152 units in two 5-story buildings, plus a separate amenity building, on 20 riverfront acres.

Renaissance’s latest proposal, just down the street from Riverfront Landing, proposed 177 apartments with a clubhouse, fitness area, coworking space and dog park on the site of a now-demolished factory, plus 267 parking spaces. Plans filed with city officials show the apartments – made up of an unspecified mix of studios, one-bedroom and two-bedroom units – split among three 5-story buildings grouped around a publicly-accessible center street.
