The operator of Seabrook’s The Brook casino has hammered out a deal with town officials over their disputed plan to build hundreds apartments on part of the casino property.
The town Zoning Board of Adjustment will host a public hearing on June 26 to approve what is being termed a “consent decree” that would resolve casino operator Eureka Casinos’ appeal of a ZBA decision rejecting a 330-unit version of the project.
The appeal was filed with the state Housing Appeals Board in 2022.
The ZBA agenda describes the deal as allowing 230 units in apartment buildings and 17 duplexes, for a total of 264 units at the casino site at 319 Route 107. Those numbers are broadly in line with a scaled-down proposal Eureka had filed last year in response to abutter concerns.
