Ledyard Hires Chief Digital Officer

Robert Capozzoli has joined Ledyard National Bank as its new chief digital officer.

The newest member of the bank’s senior management team, Capozzoli is responsible for driving digital transformation within the bank.

This means, the bank said, he’ll be leading the development and implementation of digital strategies, and of products and services that enhance client experience, improve operational efficiency and support the bank’s overall growth.

Capozzoli was previously chief marketing officer at Provident Bank in New Jersey where he was a member of Provident Bank’s Executive Leadership Team.  He also played a prominent role, Ledyard said, in developing Provident’s banking technology as well as its customer experience, and chairing its fintech and customer experience committees.

“As a community bank, our ability to deliver a differentiated digital experience to our clients is paramount to our future success. We’re thrilled to have someone with Rob’s expertise leading this charge,” Chief Banking Officer Michael Parisi said in a statement.

Capozzoli is a graduate of the ABA Graduate School of Banking where he also earned a Wharton Leadership certificate.  He lives in Manchester.
