A Sullivan County racetrack has changed hands for $517,200.
The Claremont Speedway was bought on Feb. 22 by 282 Thrasher Road LLC, a New Hampshire company, according to the Sullivan County Registry of Deeds.
State records do not list the LLC’s owners; however, The Valley News reports them to be Norman Wrenn and Ben Bosowski, who have recently bought up several other similar racetracks in the state.
The paper reports the duo plan to seek NASCAR designation for the track and revamp the auto racing that takes place there.
According to Claremont land records, the parcel at 282 Thrasher Road was last assessed in 2014 for $517,200 and was sold to its previous owners that year for $518,900.
