New Hampshire Home Sales Break Record


New Hampshire single-family home sale prices hit an all-time record for the month of January this year. The median single-family sale price was $260,000, substantially higher than January 2018’s $240,533 and just past the previous record for a January, set at $259,000 in January 2006. 

In total, there were 787 single-family sales in January, down from 965 in January 2018 and 1,008 in January 2017. It was the lowest number of single-family sales in January since 2016. 

The median single-family sale price in 2018 was $265,000. There were 17,244 single-family sales in 2018. 

The median condominium price hit $185,000 in January, surpassing January 2018’s figure of $183,000. Prices are still lower than the all-time high of $191,500, again set in 2006. The number of sales was down for the third year in a row – 264 condos were sold in January this year, down from 343 in January 2018 and 310 in January 2017.
