Bar Harbor Bank & Trust’s renovation of the interior of the office located at 9 Main St. in Newport is now complete. The new and improved branch opened its doors to customers on April 15.  The renovations consisted of a complete interior makeover of the branch lobby, transforming it into a bright, modern and inviting space while also honoring the rich history of the building.   

“I am thrilled with the new branch space. It provides a more convenient, comfortable atmosphere for our customers, and as a Newport native I am proud of our investment in this historic Newport building and in the Newport community,” Vice President and Newport Branch Manager Terri Spanos said in a statement. 

Local contractors who worked on the project included general contractor Jewett Construction, electrician A.S. Bartlett & Sons Inc., Biron’s Flooring, Claremont Glassworks Inc., Pinnacle Painting Inc., Granite State Plumbing and Heating and Hampshire Fire Protection.
