A downtown Concord office building will host a coworking space by early next year.
HRKNSScowork will launch in early 2020 in the Capitol Commons building at 11 Main St., according to Jamie Simchik, a member of the family that owns the building through the 100 Market Group.
Providing both hot desks and private offices with various amenities and memberships ranging from daily to monthly, it will be the foundation for a new entrepreneurial community with a strong focus on programming.
The Simchik family owns HRKNSScowork but will operate it like a tenant and with the assistance of staff, Simchik said in an email to The Registry Review.
The initial phase with be 2,400 square feet on the second floor of Capital Commons with room to expand as needed. This phase will contain a reception area, a kitchen area, a commons area with hot desks and soft seating, phone booths, four private offices and one conference room. Coffee, beer and snacks will be provided to members, along with access to a “virtual community as well as programming from speakers to skills-based courses,” Simchik said.
The family hopes HRKNSScowork can add vibrancy to the building and act as a tenant incubator in addition to its primary role as a business incubator.
“We feel that there is currently a lack of flexible office space in the Concord market, but a growing entrepreneurial scene with a number of established partners doing great things, such as the Greater Concord Chamber of Concord, 100 Million Cups, Making Matters NH and others,” Simchik said. Currently, there is no direct competition in the market so we have inferred demand from these trends.”
Public tours are being offered before each of the coworking space’s events, with a tour happening this Wednesday at 5:30 PM.
