Massachusetts-based Century Bank has opened its first branch in New Hampshire.
The lender announced the opening of its Salem location in a tweet earlier this month. The location was the last scouted by founder Marshall Sloane before his death in 2019, the Boston Business Journal reported.
In another tweet, Century named its branch manager, Jason Kaufman.
By the fall, however, the location at 365 South Broadway will be operating under a new name: Eastern Bank. The lender, which has several branches in Southeastern New Hampshire, announced its plans to buy Century earlier this spring in an all-cash deal, forming a $22 billion-asset institution.
