Gov. Chris Sununu praised the latest PROCON-Kane Co. development in Portsmouth during the building’s ribbon cutting and grand opening ceremonies on Oct. 7.
The 4-story mixed-use office building at 145 Maplewood Ave. in Portsmouth’s North End is one of the first new class A office buildings to go up in the city’s downtown in years. Building tenants include Heinemann Publishing, Steward Partners and Sentient Decision Science, world class businesses. Property features include onsite parking, outdoor patio seating, water views and access to all the amenities of downtown Portsmouth. PROCON designed the building. Kane was the developer.
Sununu called the building “one of the most state-of-the-art office buildings with the coolest views.”
“This building is the most articulate and well laid out building that we have done,” PROCON Co-President Jim Loft said in a statement. “It’s a milestone building for us that will take us to another level.”
PROCON Managing Director John Stebbins, son of late PROCON leader Mark Stebbins, said the event was also a meaningful celebration of his father’s legacy. Mark Stebbins passed away suddenly over the summer.
“To have so many people recognize the great work done by our team of experts is gratifying,” John Stebbins said in a statement. “It truly was a terrific team effort from pre-design to design to construction. We are grateful to The Kane Company for allowing us the opportunity to build this tremendous structure. My father was a big part of this effort and, I am sure, he is proudly watching. We are honored to carry on his legacy.”
