Prolific developer Sal Lupoli has finally filed plans with town officials for his reimagining of the Hampton Casino.
Lupoli is seeking zoning variances for height and at the Hampton Zoning Board of Adjustment’s Feb. 20 meeting.
Filings with the town show a 6-story building, topped by a 204-room hotel and 99 condominium units, would replace the hundred-year-old current Hampton Casino complex. The filings call the current buildings “functionally and structurally obsolete.”
The Ocean Boulevard side of the building will be fronted by restaurant/retail space on the first two floors – two per floor – with a two-story ballroom and events venue and a two-story charitable gaming and retail hall behind.
The hotel and condominium units on the third through sixth floors will wrap around a 511-space parking garage.
“The Applicant’s proposed development will create a modern, year-round destination for Hampton Beach and aid the Town in elongating the tourist season, as contemplated by the Master Plan, and increasing the diversity and longevity of seasonal employment opportunities,” project lawyer John H. Sokul, of the Manchester office Hinkley Allen, wrote in the application.
