MVSB

Meredith Village Savings Bank announced it bought $25,000 worth of New Hampshire Community Development Finance Authority (CDFA) tax credits, to benefit Kidworks Learning Center.

Kidworks Learning Center will use the tax credit funding to install a new exterior foundation drainage system and ADA-accessible ramp to address critical health and safety concerns impacting its ability to serve children and families. The upgrades will improve the center’s sustainability, create eight additional childcare spaces and increase preschool enrollment, MVSB said.

“Reliable childcare is essential to the success of families, employers, and communities,” Susannah Perron, an MVSB branch and business development manager, said in a statement. “We’re proud to support Kidworks as they enhance their facility and expand access to quality childcare for lakes region families.

Perron is also a Kidworks board member, MVSB said.

Camden National Bank

Maine-based Camden National Bank, which has 15 branches in New Hampshire from Bedford to Berlin, said it’s named a new chief technology officer.

Josh Nash has been promoted to the role with the title of executive vice president. He’ll be succeeding the recently retired Bill Martel.

In his expanded role, Nash will lead enterprise technology strategy, including infrastructure, cybersecurity, business intelligence, data governance, and digital transformation. Camden National credited Nash with being “known for pairing technical depth with practical execution,” and said he has helped modernize Camden National Bank’s technology architecture and strengthen the bank’s data capabilities to support growth, faster decision-making and a stronger customer experience.

“Josh brings the rare combination of deep technical expertise, strategic judgment, and people-first leadership that today’s banking environment requires,” Camden National President and CEO Simon Griffiths said in a statement. “He has been instrumental in building the technology and data foundation that will help us continue to innovate responsibly and deliver a best-in-class customer experience.”

Prior to his promotion, he was the bank’s senior vice president and director of technology, business intelligence and loan operations.

Newburyport Bank

Newburyport Bank, an affiliate of River Run Bancorp along with Pentucket Bank and Rollstone Bank & Trust, announced it had hired Scott Beattie as a vice president and commercial loan officer.

He previously held the same title at Partners Bank, according to his LinkedIn profile.

Beattie will be based at the bank’s Portsmouth location. Beattie brings 17 years of industry experience to his new role.

“Scott’s deep commercial lending background and commitment to relationship-driven banking make him a strong addition to our team,” John Garozzo, Newburyport Bank’s commercial lending team leader, said in a statement. “We look forward to the value he will bring to our business customers in the Portsmouth area and across our footprint.”
