Nashua Developer Dies of COVID-19

Nashua developer Kevin Slattery, founder of Etchstone Properties, died on June 5 from complications of COVID-19. He was 67, according to an obituary published in the New Hampshire Union Leader.

Slattery founded Etchstone in 1984 and grew it into one of Southeastern New Hampshire’s most prominent development firms. The company developed both single- and multifamily housing throughout the region.

More important than what he built was how he built it,” the obituary stated. Highly demanding, unquestionably fair, and willing and eager to work side-by-side with his team on every detail; Kevin’s team of direct employees and vast network of subcontractors and vendors were his first priority, and he took exceptional efforts to protect and support them and their families even in the most challenging of times.

Slattery was a long-time board member of the United Way of Nashua and Home Health and Hospice Care. He also volunteered with a number of other organizations throughout the area. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations to either organization. A celebration of Slattery’s life is planned for the fall, with details to be posted at kevinslattery.org.
