New data from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York shows that nearly 20 percent of households in the Northeast think they will move to a new home in the next 12 months.
The data from the Fed’s Survey of Consumer Expectations show 18.5 percent of Northeast residents think they’ll move, while 19.11 percent of all Americans think they’ll move. In the Northeast, that figure is down from 2015, when it averaged 21.64 percent, but has held relatively constant just below 20 percent since then.
The report also found Northeast residents have for the last 12 months consistently believed their household income will grow between 2 and 3 percent in the year ahead.
