Sarah Rosley, a mortgage loan officer with the $425 million-asset Savings Bank of Walpole, is off on a new adventure. She was chosen by the New Hampshire Housing Finance Authority (NHHFA) to participate in its Homeownership Fellowship Program.
The fellowship offers mortgage professionals an interactive and educational opportunity to explore the issues and challenges of the mortgage finance system. Each year, up to 10 individuals are selected through a competitive application process to participate in this unique program.
“This is an important program and we’re proud that Sarah was selected to join this exclusive group,” Savings Bank of Walpole President Mark Bodin said in a statement. “As a Homeownership Fellow, Sarah will be examining the bigger picture of housing in the state and garnering additional knowledge about affordable lending and housing policies. Her enhanced understanding of these policies will be useful in helping the Bank to potentially augment our existing mortgage lending products.”
As a self-supporting public benefit corporation, NHHFA promotes, finances and supports affordable housing. The authority operates a number of rental and homeownership programs designed to help low- and moderate-income people acquire affordable housing. Since its inception, New Hampshire Housing has helped more than 44,000 families purchase their own homes and has been instrumental in financing the creation of more than 14,500 multi-family housing units.
