A 650,000-square-foot warehouse just off Interstate 93 in Salem has landed a major lease.
JLL senior managing director Chris Lawrence represented ownership in renting a 114,000-square-foot slice of 9 Northeastern Blvd. to Electronic & Instrumentation Technology, which became part of leading European electronics maker Zollner AG Group in 2022.
JLL managing director Brian Tisbert and Assistant Vice President Matt Perry represented the tenant.
The lease is part of the tenant’s strategy – tied to becoming part of Zollner AG – to access new markets, the company president and CEO said in a statement.
The warehouse is geared towards distribution and industrial and high-tech manufacturing tenants, with its proximity to both air cargo at Manchester-Boston Regional Airport and highway access to the Boston area, JLL said.
“During our ownership, EIP has made a significant investment into 9 Northeastern Boulevard, which has allowed us to attract some of the top tenants in the market to this location,” Eastern Equity Partners asset manager Mike Hoban said in a statement. “EIT’s move to the site is a testament to the Salem, NH market fundamentals as well as our first-class facility which can accommodate top quality tenants and operations such as EIT. We were thrilled to collaborate with EIT and JLL in this transaction and look forward to continuing to welcome tenants into the site.”
