A giant industrial building being permitted in Kingston will not have Amazon as a tenant, the company says.
The New Hampshire Union Leader reports that an Amazon spokesperson confirmed that 266 Route 125 LLC is not building the 785,000-square-foot warehouse and distribution center for the e-commerce giant.
The building tenant has been a mystery and a source of much speculation, with Amazon considered a possibility due to the structure’s sheer size.
The New Hampshire industrial market saw 188,702 square feet of positive absorption in 2020 according to Colliers International and ended the fourth quarter of 2020 with an occupancy rate of 95.6 percent, with overall rents sitting at $7.05 per square foot, triple-net, a $0.51 increase year-over-year.
The proposal received the first of its permits on Jan. 19 but still faces further hurdles before it may be built.
